Job summary

Green Thumb in Centreville, MD is seeking an Outdoor Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team with routine and preventative activities across the outdoor grow. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, assist with cultivation duties when needed, and uphold safety and compliance in a regulated cannabis environment.

The role requires a hands-on, safety-minded team player with at least 5 years in maintenance, and certification like forklift/Skid Steer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Forklift and Skid Steer certification.
• Cannabis industry experience not required.
• Experience with TPM and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
• Must pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, as necessary.
• Assist in construction, preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance and repairs on all equipment in the outdoor grow.
• Perform routine filter cleaning and replacement activities on HVAC units and other equipment throughout the outdoor grow.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager and Ops Manager to maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies outdoors.
• Complete work orders and collaborate with requestors to ensure satisfactory completion.
• Perform minor repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on processing equipment in the outdoor grow.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety training, and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for unloading freight deliveries when needed.
• Escort visitors or vendors outdoors as needed.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
• Help create a positive environment with a proactive attitude and teamwork.
• Research, evaluate, and adapt to new methods to meet or exceed goals per applicable laws.
