Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a dependable Yard Associate in Noblesville, IN who enjoys outdoor, hands-on work and helping customers. You will assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading, pull and stage materials, and keep the yard organized.

A forklift may be used, with training provided to earn certification. The 6am–5pm shift pays $17/hr, full-time benefits include health, dental, disability, life insurance, a 401(k), vacation, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team-oriented.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials to be picked up or delivered.
• Help maintain inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean; operate forklifts if trained.
