Lighthouse Outdoor Lighting in Nashville is seeking an experienced Outdoor Lighting Crew Lead to supervise installation projects, ensure quality and safety, and lead our dedicated crew to success. If you have a passion for outdoor lighting and leadership, we’d love to have you on our team!

The Crew Lead will oversee technicians on outdoor lighting projects, enforce safety, read blueprints, coordinate with clients, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in outdoor lighting installation or related field.
• 2+ years of proven leadership in managing a crew.
• Strong problem-solving and client-facing communication.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Comfortable outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of lighting technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
• Oversee installation of outdoor lighting systems including architectural, landscape, hardscape, and water feature lighting.
• Ensure installations comply with local codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wiring and electrical components.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and site assessments for planning and execution.
• Train crew members on installation techniques, equipment handling, and safety practices.
• Communicate with clients to meet expectations and guide maintenance.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of tools and materials.

Job Overview

The Outdoor Lighting Crew Lead will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of technicians and installers on outdoor lighting projects. This role requires excellent knowledge of outdoor lighting systems, a strong work ethic, and the ability to motivate and lead a crew to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of lighting technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
• Oversee the installation of outdoor lighting systems, including architectural lighting, landscape lighting, hardscape lighting, and water feature lighting.
• Ensure all installations adhere to local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and site assessments for project planning and execution.
• Train crew members on proper installation techniques, equipment handling, and safety practices.
• Communicate with clients to ensure their expectations are met, including addressing concerns and providing guidance on maintenance.
• Ensure proper inventory and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in outdoor lighting installation, electrical systems, or related field (landscape construction, hardscape construction, irrigation construction).
• 2+ years in proven leadership experience in managing a crew, preferably in an outdoor or construction environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and project plans.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, tools, and materials.
• Clean drug screen.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Work history with verifiable references
• Up to 50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of low voltage outdoor lighting systems, wiring, transformers, and control systems.
• Electrical certification or relevant training.
• Familiarity with landscape design principles.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
