• 60 college credits required; Bachelor's degree or MI teaching certificate preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Follows the lesson plans left by the teacher for whom the substitute is substituting.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
• Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Plans activities when lesson plans do not structure the entire class periods.
• Oversees student behavior and enforces the regular teacher's discipline plan.
• Assumes duties the regular teacher would have for that day.
• Supports the Academy's mission and promotes a positive learning environment.
• Motivates students to achieve at their highest level and use available resources effectively.
