Job summary

The City of McMinnville is seeking an outdoors-driven individual to care for trees and landscapes across the city. The role involves unskilled to semi-skilled maintenance using hand and pneumatic tools, multi-tasking, and initiative.

Starting salary is $38,043 with a Monday–Friday, eight-hour schedule. The city offers medical premium coverage, life insurance, disability, vision/dental, generous PTO, retirement options (TCRS with 401k) and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• High School degree
• 2–3 years of experience in tree, landscape and lawn maintenance
• Valid operator's license
• Ability to lift 50 lb frequently and 100 lb occasionally

Responsibilities

• Execute landscape maintenance on trees, shrubs and flowers
• Mow and coordinate mowing on city properties
• Maintain equipment and use hand/power tools safely
• Communicate with the public and assist with mapping/surveys
• Support other city departments as needed
