Job summary

Walmart in Riverton, UT is seeking an Irrigation Exterior Services Technician to maintain irrigation systems and outdoor environments, ensuring efficient operation and safety. The role emphasizes hands-on work, collaboration, and delivering quality results.

You will install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components, operate specialized equipment, and coordinate with contractors while documenting work orders and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the landscaping/irrigation industry, including plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components (wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, lines, drip, bubblers).
• Operate equipment to perform pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation.
• Order supplies and obtain quotes from external contractors when required.
• Recommend upgrades and prioritization of system replacements.
• Respond to work orders and provide assistance via various communication channels.
• Use phones/tablets/laptops to complete orders and maintain records and logs.
• Maintain a safe work environment per safety policies and report violations.
• Perform seasonal tasks like winterizing and spring startup.
