Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks an Interpretive Guide for Robbers Cave State Park to deliver educational programs and guide visitors through park areas. The role focuses on customer service, safety, and engaging interpretation in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities include leading hikes, conducting educational activities, and assisting with groundskeeping and event setup. The position is full-time and located at Robbers Cave State Park within the Tourism and Recreation department.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lead walking tours and navigate trails, regular bending, stooping, and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided hikes or other outdoor activities.
• Deliver educational programming.
• Plan and lead arts and crafts activities.
• Perform trail, and animal enclosure upkeep, including repairs and cleaning.
• Assist with routine groundskeeping and facility organization around Nature Center.
• Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
• Engage with guests in informed interpretation.
• Assist in event setup and takedown.
• Complete daily opening and closing duties for Nature Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations and agency needs.
