Job summary

LJP Waste Solutions is hiring a Litter Specialist to maintain outdoor areas and keep facilities clean across multiple sites in Minnesota. The role requires physical outdoor work, reliability, and independent operation with attention to detail.

Hours are full-time, non-exempt, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends for special projects. A valid driver's license is preferred and a base hourly rate is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in groundskeeping, custodial, or facility maintenance is helpful but not required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Reliable attendance and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized appearance of the facility grounds, parking lots, and exterior areas
• Collect and properly dispose of litter, debris, and waste materials inside and outside the facility
• Sweep, blow, or power-wash concrete areas, walkways, and entry points as needed
• Clean and maintain storm water drains, grates, and filters to prevent blockages
• Monitor and report drainage, spill, or environmental concerns to management
• Perform light custodial duties inside the building, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
• Assist with general facility upkeep, including minor landscaping and maintenance tasks
• Safely operate cleaning tools and outdoor maintenance equipment such as blowers, pressure washers, and hand tools
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Support special cleanup projects and seasonal maintenance as directed by management
