Job summary

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks a GPS/GIS Field Technician to perform field data collection for utility pipeline projects. Training near the project location with eventual independent or team work in Riverdale, GA area.

Overtime pay at time-and-a-half and a monthly vehicle allowance are provided. Responsibilities include locating assets with GNSS/GIS tools, photographing assets, and recording detailed attribute data.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s in GIS or Engineering preferred.
• 1–3 years of utility, construction, and/or field survey experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GPS/GIS technology.

Responsibilities

• Field data collection using GNSS/GIS to map asset locations.
• Take photographs and document manufacturer/model, materials, personnel, and location data.
• Work 8+ hours outdoors; overtime and weekend work as required.
