Phoenix Biochar MS in Pickens, MS is hiring a General Laborer to support biochar production and site maintenance. This full-time, outdoor role involves working in a team to move materials, operate basic equipment under supervision, and keep the work area safe and organized.

You will assist with bagging, labeling, and loading products, perform routine equipment inspections, and help with landscaping and tool storage. The position requires physical effort, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in labor-intensive work.
• Basic safety practices in the workplace.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong teamwork and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility.
• Support operation of pyrolysis equipment under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Prepare and install equipment as needed, including bagging and storage.
• Load biochar into bags or containers, label and document products.
• Inspect equipment routinely and report issues.
• Help with general site maintenance, including landscaping and tool organization.
