Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Residential- Field Service Specialist to replace and test residential gas meters in the field. You will ensure safe installations and interact professionally with utility customers on a long-term project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment MVR, background check, and DOT PHMSA-compliant drug screen.
• Physical ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours/day in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable using hand tools and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install residential gas meters and regulators.
• Perform gas leak tests using company-provided equipment.
• Identify and repair gas leaks and abnormal operating conditions.
• Shut down and relight gas appliances safely.
• Collect and document installation data using a handheld device.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with utility customers.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
