Job summary

The Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD is seeking cooks and food prep staff for a fun, outdoor summer role. You will prepare food using our recipes, ensuring high quality and portion control while upholding sanitation and safety standards in all concession areas.

Ideal candidates are energetic, outgoing, responsible, and have excellent communication and customer service skills; you should be able to work nights and weekends May–October.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older by Sept 1, 2026.
• Availability to work event-based schedule nights/weekends May–October (approx. 40 events per season).
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift/handle items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes while maintaining quality and portion consistency.
• Maintain health, sanitation and safety standards in all concession areas.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced outdoor venue.
