Job summary

Teton Science Schools seeks Field Education Instructors to guide grades 5–8 students and adult learners through place-based field science across Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone regions.

Instructors collaborate with co-educators to deliver inquiry-based learning, build leadership skills, and connect learners to their environment while adhering to program schedules and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in place-based outdoor education or field science programs.
• Background in science education, ecology, natural resources, or related field.
• Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 10–13 participants in inquiry-based field science and leadership activities.
• Develop and implement standards-aligned science curriculum.
• Represent the program at local and regional outreach events.
• Ensure participant safety and effective risk management.
• Support mentorship, curriculum development, and program systems.
