Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect data on outdoor utility sites, measuring heights and spans for fiber optic builds. The role requires overnight travel 1–2 weeks at a time, with weekends at home and possible longer stays for projects.

Training is provided, and compensation starts at $24.50/hour with bonuses and allowances. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and professional conduct in field environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
• Familiar with GPS maps and field data collection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors to collect field data for engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes and images for each project.
• Operate and maintain field equipment such as tablets, cameras and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field and with customers.
• Communicate daily with project management and work independently.
• Follow safety protocols and remain vigilant in varying conditions.
