Job summary

TDS Telecom in Great Falls, Montana is seeking a Field Technician to install fiber enclosures, perform fusion splicing, OTDR, and lightlevel testing, and troubleshoot buried or aerial fiber. You will read construction plans, coordinate with OSP teams, and document work to support project closeout.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of telecommunications installation, splicing, and testing experience.
• Valid driver's license and DOT eligibility.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber enclosures and perform fusion splicing, OTDR, and lightlevel testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair buried and aerial fiber.
• Document work and update asbuilts/redlines.
• Read construction plans and coordinate with OSP teams and contractors.
• Maintain equipment and complete paperwork.
• Support Field Services as needed.
