Job summary

Terracon's Omaha office is seeking a Field Engineer, Scientist or Geologist to join our Environmental Department. The role involves outdoor work across seasons, sampling soil, water, air, and operating remediation systems, with 75% travel.

You will conduct site investigations, collect data, and collaborate with staff on projects. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology or environmental science with 0–5 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and OSHA HazWOPER readiness are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
• One year of related experience required, or 5 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training or ability to obtain upon employment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.
• Ability to travel out of town on a routine basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental site investigations, assessments and surveys to sample air, water, soil and other media.
• Operate and maintain environmental remediation systems.
• Perform field data collection and site observations with regular reporting.
• Prepare reports and assist in proposals and client communications.
