Job summary

Wild Compass Environmental Education is seeking a full-time Naturalist to plan, prepare, and deliver environmental education programs for learners of all ages across southwestern Minnesota in varied indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities include supporting program areas such as park maintenance, animal care, volunteer coordination, and equipment/materials upkeep, while collaborating with staff and volunteers to provide engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare and execute environmental education programs for children and adults of all ages.
• Support program areas such as park maintenance, animal care, volunteer coordination, and equipment/materials maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Implement environmental education programs with naturalist staff, Executive Director, and volunteers.
• Teach environmental education programs to preschool-12th grade youth groups, scouts, families and adults across school programs, summer camps, birthday parties, community education programs, county fairs, and other events.
