Job summary

TechServ Engineering is seeking a Field Technician to inspect utility poles, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports to support electric and telecom infrastructure. The role requires outdoor work in all weather and collaboration with a partner or field coordinators.

Ideal candidates will manage maps, measurements, and safety protocols while traveling to multiple sites. The position is full-time, outdoors, with extensive travel commitments and a strong emphasis on accuracy and

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Able to perform physical labor outdoors
• Must pass drug test, background check, and MVR
• Willing to travel 100% of the time
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and record attachments on electric distribution poles
• Record span lengths and angle bearings
• Identify NESC violations
• Identify appropriate electric conductor sizes
• Identify equipment and attaching hardware on distribution poles
• Use insulated stick to record attachment height
• Read maps and construction prints; identify discrepancies
• Upload photos for design team
• Follow safety protocols
• Navigate to locations independently
• Work with partner or independently; communicate with field coordinators
• Operate in various weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned
