Job summary

The Department of Game, Fish, & Parks in South Dakota offers a Fall Session School Programs Intern position based in Sioux Falls. You will lead and assist education programs in outdoor skills such as fishing, camping, and hunting, serving school groups from preschool to college and even teachers.

Experience is not required; all training is provided. Enrolled part-time or full-time students at a college or technical institute are eligible, with preference for South Dakota residents and students

Qualifications

Enrollment as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time of application.
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
Preference may be given to applicants who are South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
Positions can be filled prior to the closing date. South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources and Administration.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist education programming in outdoor skills such as fishing, camping, and hunting.
Serve school groups from preschool to college students and in-service teachers.
Assist with programs developed and scheduled by the program coordinator.
Develop and lead their own programs, and work at the information desk to meet programming and customer service needs.
All training is provided.
