Job summary

Sierra Nevada Journeys is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for the Portola, CA outdoor education camp. The role focuses on coordinating educational programs, communicating with schools, and supporting site operations with a positive, inclusive approach.

The coordinator will work with the Programs Manager and Director of Programs to develop schedules, pre-trip planning, teacher debriefs, and post-course evaluations, while helping with office tasks and risk management.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of administrative and office support experience.
• 1–2 years of coordination or program leadership experience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work regular business hours plus evenings/weekends as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation and delivery of high-quality outdoor education and programming.
• Coordinate program schedules, materials, and locations in collaboration with program staff.
• Support office processes and customer interactions with professionalism.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and supervision of staff involved in programs.
• Maintain risk mitigation practices and ensure compliance with policies.
