McDowell Environmental Center invites you to join the fall season as an Environmental Education Instructor. You’ll lead hands-on programs for diverse students, designing lessons that blend geology, ecology, canoeing, and high ropes with engaging, interactive teaching styles.

Live and work in a nature-rich setting, with two weeks of paid training, weekdays with weekends free, and seasonal raises. Housing is provided with meals when groups are onsite.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and flexible.
• Natural leader with a passion for outdoors and teaching kids.
• Great team player with humor and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on programs for students of all ages.
• Design lessons and teach topics like geology, forest ecology, canoeing, and high ropes.
• Guide night hikes or campfires and create engaging learning experiences.
