Job summary

Kualoa Ranch Hawai‘i is seeking a Diversified Agriculture Technician to support crop production, small livestock management, aquaculture, and land stewardship in Ka‘a‘awa, Hawaii. The role involves hands-on fieldwork, operating tools and equipment, and following best practices for planting, harvesting, and pest control.

Ideal candidates are hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainable agriculture and traditional Hawaiian farming practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in agricultural operations, including irrigation, herbicide/fertilizer application, weeding, planting, and harvesting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Execute daily agricultural tasks, including planting, transplanting, fertilizing, irrigating, weeding, and harvesting.
Monitor crop health and identify pest or disease issues; implement control measures.
Support livestock and aquaculture tasks, including feeding and habitat upkeep.
Set up and maintain irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency.
Operate power tools, hand tools, and light machinery safely.
Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
