Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Outdoor Designer in Boynton Beach, FL to lead the Outdoor Concept initiative. You will design with creativity and technical know-how, drive sales growth, and shepherd projects from concept to completion, collaborating with store teams to create compelling displays and experiences for homeowners and pros.

The role requires 3–5 years in outdoor-living or related sales, proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, and a strong customer relationship

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of outdoor-living, landscaping, or building-materials sales experience.
• A degree in hardscape design, landscape design, or a related field is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer consultations—interpret site sketches, recommend materials, and craft tailored project solutions.
• Develop design plans through hand sketches or CAD tools including AutoCAD and SketchUp, with layouts, documents, and specs.
• Manage projects end-to-end from first conversation through order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with store and merchandising teams to bring the Outdoor Concept to life with displays and demos.
• Build and maintain a local network of pros, installers, and outdoor specialists to grow referrals.
• Stay updated on landscaping trends including slope, drainage, lighting, and outdoor features to sell credibly.
• Balance aesthetics with technical requirements like measurements and installation needs.
• Share insights to shape growth of this new concept.
