Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Materials Technician based in Bloomington, MN, performing field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. The role involves transporting samples, documenting results, and supporting quality assurance on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification preferred.
• Strong safety focus with attention to detail in field and lab work.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt in the field and laboratory.
• Transport collected samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis in a timely and safe manner.
• Document field activities, test results, observations, and inspections using electronic daily reports.
• Communicate with project personnel, clients, and contractor representatives regarding testing needs and project requirements.
• Interpret drawings and specifications relevant to testing and inspection activities.
