Job summary

HireQuest Direct is seeking a temporary, project-based laborer to support underground utilities and water main installation projects. The role emphasizes physical outdoor work, safe practices, and cooperation with on-site supervisors.

Candidates should be able to perform heavy lifting, stand or walk for the shift, and maintain dependable attendance with reliable transportation. Prior construction or utility experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• PPE required: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, and work boots.
• Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for up to 8 hours.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with digging and excavation support
• Remove debris and maintain a clean jobsite
• Unload and move materials, tools, and supplies
• Assist with general site maintenance throughout the project
• Follow directions from onsite supervisors and work safely around active construction
