Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience operating light to medium equipment in construction/maintenance or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Indian Preference: submit Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with application.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to medium-sized equipment such as loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, skid steers, and other machinery as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper working condition; check oil, fluids, tire pressure, and other components.
• Assist in manual labor tasks when not operating equipment (shoveling, raking, lifting, carrying materials).
• Follow safety procedures and protocols while operating equipment.
• Load and unload equipment and materials safely from trucks and trailers.
• Communicate with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient and safe project completion.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure worksite is clean and free of hazards.
