Block by Block is hiring a Cleaning Ambassador to keep streets cleaner and friendlier in the Baltimore area. The role involves outdoor work, interactions with the public, and reporting tasks via basic daily reports.

Responsibilities include litter removal, weed pulling, graffiti cleanup, and maintaining outdoor surfaces. No prior experience required; training is provided, and the position welcomes retirees and first-time job seekers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English to create basic reports.
• Experience preferred, but not required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in the assigned zone with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Acknowledge and engage pedestrians with a friendly greeting to provide directions or city information.
• Remove litter and graffiti; pull weeds at tree wells and sidewalks; damp wipe outdoor surfaces.
• Monitor for unsafe conditions and report to Safety Ambassadors; complete basic daily reports.
