Job summary

Ergon, Inc. is seeking a full-time Facility Operator at our Ennis, TX location to manage daily production and transport of asphalt binder.

The role involves outdoor work in varying weather, QC support, data entry, and coordination with drivers and customers to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate enjoys learning new skills, can work independently, and meets physical requirements including lifting and lengthy standing.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel (preferred).
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills and the ability to learn computer skills.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with QC testing in the lab and input quality specifications into reports.
• Sample product quality and load/unload trucks and railcars.
• Conduct minor maintenance on plant equipment (pumps, racks, mixers).
• Attend daily production/quality/EHS meetings and participate in safety programs.
• Wear provided PPE and communicate with operators, management, trucking company and customers.
