Job summary

Penn State University’s Outdoor Adventures unit at University Park is seeking staff to supervise specific activities and facilities and to lead high-quality staff training. The role includes managing high-risk activities, shift coverage, and possible overnight work at Stone Valley or in the field.

Required are OLTC completion and WFA/CPR certifications, plus 2+ years of outdoor leadership experience. WFR is preferred for some activities; a valid driver’s license is needed for vehicle operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations of a specific activity/facility.
• Provide high quality training for staff with clear learning outcomes.
• Assist full-time staff with high-level tasks, projects, or events.
• May drive University vehicles and trailers; training provided.
• Work may include overnight shifts at Stone Valley Recreation Area or in the field.
