Job summary

Discovery Land Company in Florida is seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Pursuits Coordinator to support activities, oversee safety, and deliver exceptional member experiences across fishing, watersports, archery, and more.

You will work with guides and management at Atlantic Fields near Hobe Sound, have flexible hours including weekends, and help maintain equipment and inventories while serving as a welcoming club ambassador.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Exposure to outdoor recreation disciplines such as fishing, surfing, paddleboarding, or watersports is a plus.
• CPR, First Aid, and lifeguard certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Boat operator experience is a plus.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on programming and demand.

Responsibilities

• Support Outdoor Pursuits Guides and management in setup, execution, and breakdown of activities and excursions.
• Instruct and participate in activities such as archery, axe throwing, equestrian operations, fishing and racquet sports.
• Assist members with equipment handling, water entry/exit, and safety around pools, beaches, and on-water areas.
• Carry out weekly safety checks on the powerboat fleet and other outdoor equipment per SOPs.
• Maintain all equipment (rods, reels, tackle, surfboards, vessels, watersports gear) in clean, safe condition.
• Help with monthly stock takes and inventories of department parts, tools and equipment.
• Greet members, assist with seating, manage chairs, umbrellas, and towel/suntan stations at the pool.
• Promote member engagement in on-property activities and games.
• Supervise participants at on- and off-site events and transport them in a company vehicle.
• Collaborate with Management to enhance Outdoor Pursuits offerings during events.
• Participate in overnight camping experiences as requested.
• Complete daily setup/breakdown per SOP; attend briefings and meetings.
• Keep detailed inventories of all equipment and perform regular checks.
