Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Facilitate hiring and training with drivers and fleet employees
  • Effectively communicate and implement safety initiatives
  • Investigate and report all on-the-job injuries and vehicular accidents
  • Monitor the expiration dates of all CDL's, medical cards, TWIC cards, and others
  • Complete qualification files for driver applicants
  • Conduct background checks on new and former employees
  • Instruct and assist drivers on the proper use of onboard communications
  • Coordinate all random drug and alcohol testing to ensure DOT compliance, including pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing
  • Regularly review driver qualification files to ensure they are current
  • Perform annual reviews for all drivers
  • Respond to customer/public complaints as needed
  • Recommend discipline following company policies
  • Hold regular safety meetings
  • Assist department management as needed
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation operations or regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of FMCSR and CSA regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with E-Logs and TMW dispatch software is a plus
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
