Job summary

Arvato is seeking an Outbound Supervisor in Shepherdsville, KY to ensure timely order completion and optimize staffing for the Pick/Pack/Ship operation. You will collaborate with planning teams to prioritize orders and manage labor resources efficiently.

You will oversee shipping, picking, packing, and traffic while training new staff and ensuring adherence to procedures and KPI targets. This role requires hands-on supervision in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years in a WMS environment.
• Experience with inventory research.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage labor and equipment for Pick/Pack/Ship operations.
• Ensure on-time completion and maintain order quality to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee direct shipping, pick, pack, and traffic activities.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees.
• Receive and transfer materials as needed.
• Hire and train new employees for picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure procedures and quality processes are followed for current and new customers.
• Monitor KPIs and perform performance management of staff.

Job Description

As the Outbound Supervisor at Arvato, your primary objective will be to ensure the timely completion of orders, aligning with our commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Collaborating closely with Wave Panning, you'll manage labor resources effectively while prioritizing orders with precision.

YOUR TASKS

• Supervise and manage the labor and equipment of the Pick/Pack/Ship operation.
• Ensure on-time completion and maintain the quality of orders to meet customer requirements.
• You will oversee direct shipping, pick, pack, and traffic.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees.
• Receiving of materials.
• Transferring of materials.
• Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for the picking, packing, and shipping departments.
• Ensure proper procedures are adhered to and up to date for the control tower for current and new customers.
• Performance management of all employees (KPI’s).
• Document, update, and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department.
• Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor-specific shipping requirements.
• Update and maintain Kronos and Metrics in Excel, as it relates to WMS reporting.
• Monitor picking, packing, and shipping functions on the floor.
• Ensure that shift-end specific procedures with all shipping systems are completed, and floor end-of-shift close-outs are followed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Supervisory experience or equivalent work experience.
• A bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 3 years in a WMS environment.
• Experience with inventory research.
