Tivly is one of the largest marketplaces for commercial insurance in the United States, connecting business owners looking to protect their businesses with insurance carriers that fit their needs. Since 2009, Tivly has established a network of over 200 trusted carriers, agents, and brokers serving a wide range of businesses.
Tivly connects business owners actively shopping for commercial insurance coverage with the right agents to serve them - starting with a weekly educational webinar. We're looking for an Outbound Sales Development Representative to reach those decision-makers and get them in the room.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys talking to people, likes having a clear process to work within, and wants to build a sales career from the ground up. Previous outbound sales experience is helpful, but we are more interested in how you work.
We're looking for someone who is curious, coachable, organized, comfortable picking up the phone, and motivated enough to own their day.
You'll join an established outbound motion with prospect lists, CRM note templates, an AI-powered resource hub, and training already in place. Your job is to learn the system, execute it consistently, and help us identify ways to make it even better.
This is a systems-driven role supported by AI-assisted tools, so baseline technology comfort is important. You should be comfortable with:
Experience with automation or workflow tools such as Zapier is a plus, but not required. More important: you're comfortable learning new technology and troubleshooting basic issues independently.
Previous experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required:
We believe sales skills can be taught. We're more interested in finding someone with the aptitude, work habits, and hunger to learn them.
There isn't one personality type that makes a great SDR. We're looking for someone who can stay consistent through high call volume and real rejection, call after call.
For this role, there are a few things we consider essential:
You'll receive structured onboarding, along with:
You'll be expected to work within our established process while sharing what you're hearing from prospects. As you develop, we want you to become someone who helps us improve the system — not simply operate it.
This position is a starting point, not a ceiling. As you demonstrate mastery and take on greater responsibility, there's real opportunity for advancement — including into roles such as:
Compensation grows alongside responsibility as you take on more. There's no fixed timeline for this - it's earned through demonstrated performance, not tenure.
You'll earn a base salary of $45,000 plus commission. Commission is tied to converted webinar attendees - leads you book who attend and go on to become clients - not to sign-ups or attendance alone. This keeps your incentives aligned with real business outcomes, not just activity.
We support our team with comprehensive benefits that promote health, balance, and financial well‑being, including:
You'll be joining a sales organization that believes good systems should make great people better. We're not hiring someone to reinvent our outbound strategy on day one. We're looking for someone who can learn what's already working, execute it consistently, ask good questions, and eventually help us make it better.
If you like clear expectations, meaningful autonomy, direct coaching, and the opportunity to grow as you prove yourself, we'd like to hear from you.

We believe that creating a culture where everyone can fit in and belong has a positive influence on our communities and our customers. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
