Job summary

WAI Global is seeking a dedicated Dock Associate to keep outbound shipments moving. You will organize dock assignments, verify orders, and package items to exact specifications using RF scanners, label printers, scales and pallet jacks.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with daily 5S maintenance and collaboration across shifts. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, and the schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm.

About the Role

Picture your morning: you review the queue management system, sort the day’s priorities, and walk the dock to ensure everything is staged just right. You keep outbound activity moving—verifying orders, packaging them to spec, and preparing shipments that arrive safely and on time.

A Day in the Life
  • Start by organizing dock assignments and confirming staging plans. You’ll conduct quick hourly sweeps of the dock to keep things flowing.
  • Use stage plans, SOPs, and WIs to select, verify, and package customer orders with precision.
  • Operate tools of the trade: RF scanners, label printers, scales, and pallet jacks.
  • Re-box and label materials; perform weight counts for sales orders; move items to the correct staging areas.
  • Mark and tag containers, assemble packaging, and re-pack damaged items when needed.
  • Install protective bracing, padding, or strapping so products don’t shift in transit.
  • Capture accurate data, including daily production sheets and required system transactions.
  • Tidy up and organize excess picked items; keep the workspace 5S-ready at all times.
  • Cross-train and collaborate—share updates, support teammates, and communicate clearly.
  • Follow safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to maintain a safe, efficient operation.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

Work Environment

Warehouse setting utilizing standard equipment: computers, phones, photocopiers, cameras, and material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.).

Physical Demands
  • Standing: Frequently remain in a stationary position.
  • Walking, Reaching, Handling: Frequently move throughout the warehouse; stand and walk about 60% of the time; lift up to 40 lbs routinely and up to 70 lbs less than 10% of the time.
  • Seeing: Frequently read documents and use computer/office tools and equipment.
  • Talking and Hearing: Regularly communicate with colleagues and customers; exchange accurate information.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently operate a computer and warehouse machinery.
