Mars Petcare in Columbus, OH, seeks an Outbound Logistics Lead to drive outbound tasks, manage vendor relations with 3PLs, and oversee inventory systems (SAP, JDA, NEXUS). The role focuses on safety, quality, cost control, and meeting quotas in a fast-paced facility.

Minimum: high school diploma, 2+ years warehousing or logistics experience, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to document SOPs. Preferred: technical degree, SAP/Blue Yonder, leadership, lean manufacturing knowledge, and 1+ year

Shift Schedule

• Shift: 1st
• Schedule: Monday- Friday
• Hours: 7am- 3:30pm (flexible pending business needs)

Description of Role

This role leads outbound logistics tasks, manages vendor relations, and oversees warehouse inventory systems like SAP, JDA, and NEXUS. Additionally, the position drives safety, quality, and cost goals while ensuring quotas are met.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
• 2+ years of relevant warehousing or logistics related experience
• Troubleshoot inventory management systems and issues with product quality
• Ability to transfer procedures and training experiences to others (example: SOPs)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, excel, etc.) and email.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical bachelor's or associate degree
• SAP and/or Blue Yonder experience
• Demonstrated Leadership skills
• 1+ years' experience in an outbound logistics technical support role
• Knowledge of quality systems and lean manufacturing principles

Physical Requirements

• Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
