Mars Fishcare in Chalfont, PA is seeking a Materials Handler to join the Finished Goods Warehouse team. You will pick customer orders with high accuracy and safety, using powered industrial trucks as needed under OSHA guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, and strong MS Office/email skills. The shift runs Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a starting pay of $20.72 per hour plus benefits.

Job Description:

Mars Fishcare- Materials Handler - Chalfont, PA

Pay: based on experience starting at $20.72/Hour +

Shift Schedule: Monday- Thursday 6:30 AM- 5:00PM (flexible pending business needs)

Description of Role:

The Materials Handler operates as a member of the Finished Goods Warehouse team, in collaboration daily with the Outbound Coordinator and reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. Their primary objective is to safely and accurately pick sales order of product for customer orders. In doing so, they will be certified to operate powered industrial equipment (PIT's) to assist in transporting material throughout the warehouse.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing distribution environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and email communication

Physical Requirements:

• Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of warehouse logistics experience
• Certified operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts, reach trucks, walkie-riders).

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Order Picking: Output high-quality customer orders, maintaining high accuracy and throughput rates.
• Outbound Loading & Container Operations: Accurately inspect, stage, and load outbound over-the-road (OTR) trailers and shipping containers according to load sheets, weight distribution requirements, and secure cargo transit standards.
• Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, clamp trucks) in compliance with OSHA and internal safety guidelines; perform required pre-operational equipment safety checks.
• 5S & Warehouse Housekeeping: Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse dock and aisle areas aligned with Mars safety, quality, and sanitation/pest control standards.
