Job summary

Sasol, a global energy and chemical company, seeks an experienced logistics professional to manage outbound shipments from explant facilities, coordinate marine shipments, and resolve order-related issues.

You will work closely with Customer Service, carriers, and plants to ensure timely delivery and accurate freight accounting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 5+ years of customer service/transportation experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of customer service/transportation experience
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipments from explant facilities, including scheduling, loading, inventory, and delivery delays
• Coordinate all plant and explant marine container shipments from booking to delivery
• Resolve issues with orders, paperwork, and transportation in collaboration with Customer Service
• Reconcile freight accruals and update SAP with partners to reflect actuals
• Post goods issue and maintain freight accruals for PP&C orders
• Serve as the primary contact for plants, explant facilities, and carriers on loading and delays
• Support month-end closing and provide after-hours/weekend coverage as required
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements

Purpose of Job

• Manage all outbound shipments from explant facilities from delivery scheduling, loading, product availability to shipping anddelivery delays.
• Manages and coordinates all container and isotank marine shipments.
• Proactively identify and resolve problemswith orders, paperwork and transportation related issues and work closely with Customer Service to ensure timely communicationto customers.
• Manage freight accrual reconciliations comparing estimated rates with actuals and working with various partnersto update in SAP.
• Perform accurate and timely post goods issues.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage outbound shipments of rail, truck and ocean from explant facilities from delivery scheduling, loading,product availability to shipping and delivery delays
• Manage all plant and explant marine container shipments from booking to delivery based on incoterm.
• Monitor inventory constraints of incoming and outgoing shipments involving vessel loadings and outboundshipments
• Direct point of contact for plant, explant facilities and carriers for loading and delivery delays
• Reconcile estimated versus actual freight accruals and work with IM and 3PL to update
• Post goods issue BOL’s from explant facilities
• Maintain freight accruals for PP&C orders
• Invoice resolution of outbound logistics service providers
• Work proactively with customers, plants, ex-plant locations, carriers, P&O and customer service
• Support month-end closing process
• Provide after hours and weekend coverage as require
• Provide backup coverage for team
• Work in compliance with the Quality Management System requirements

Working Experience

• High School / School diploma with 5+ years of customer service and transportation experience
• University Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of customer service and transportation experience

Required Personal and Professional Skills

• Professional communication, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, good organizational skills, critical reasoning
• Ability to collaborate professionally with a variety of disciplines (i.e. Explant Facilities, Carriers, Manufacturing, Sales, R&D, P&O, CS · Strong software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc…)
