Job summary

Staffmark Group in Richmond, KY is seeking a Boat Service Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and service boats and marine systems. You will troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and assist with electronics installation.

This role requires at least 1 year of mechanical or small engine experience, a valid driver’s license, own tools, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather; weekend and seasonal hours may apply.

Boat Service Repair Technician

Location: Richmond, KY

Summer Schedule: Tuesday - Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) + Saturdays (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Winter Hours: Potentially 35 hours per week

Education Requirements + Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical, motor repair, small engine, automotive, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of basic tools, parts, and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues; electrical experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to climb in and out of boats and work in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Must provide own tool

Job Duties
  • Perform boat cleaning, detailing, and service preparation.
  • Assist with installation of marine electronics, accessories, and equipment on fishing, bass, and pontoon boats.
  • Complete preventive maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, spark plugs, and gear oil services.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair marine engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and mechanical components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
