Job summary
Ron Hoover RV & Marine Centers in Georgetown, TX seeks an experienced Outboard Boat Technician to diagnose, repair, and service boats in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will troubleshoot engines and marine systems, install electronics, and water-test vessels before delivery, ensuring quality workmanship.
The ideal candidate has prior marine or outboard experience, familiarity with Yamaha/Mercury/Suzuki/Honda outboards, and strong diagnostic abilities.
Qualifications
- Experience as marine or outboard technician required.
- Certification in Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, or Honda outboards preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of marine electrical and fuel systems.
- Ability to work independently while staying team-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair outboard engines and marine systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, steering, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform inspections and maintenance.
- Install marine accessories including electronics, GPS units, trolling motors, and audio systems.
- Water-test and prepare boats for delivery.
- Complete repair orders and service documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with additional service department duties as needed.
