Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an HSE Tech to lead outage safety and on-site field observations, ensuring compliance and the highest safety standards for employees and contractors in the chemical sector.

You will conduct job walks, enforce federal/state/local regulations, and support safety training programs while identifying hazards and driving corrective actions to minimize risk; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Outage safety experience in chemical environments.
• Ability to work with multiple contractors on site.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Make job walks and learn equipment in the units you will be working in.
• Ensure federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and codes are observed by contractors.
• Assist with safety training implementation for employee orientation programs.
• Identify hazardous conditions and practices during on-site inspections to audit safety.
• Participate in safety observation program, submit feedback and ensure documentation is submitted and tracked.
• Provide advice and counseling for compliance regulations.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret incident report data to develop corrective actions.
• Participate in safety walks and audits, provide corrective guidance to at-risk employees.
• Maintain a high level of technical expertise and apply it to process improvement with safety in mind.
• Demonstrate leadership and excellent communication up and down the organization.
