Job summary

FieldCore, a GE company, is seeking an Outage Manager to lead complex outage events for gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator systems. The role encompasses planning, execution, and closeout, with a focus on improving on-time delivery, cost control, and safety practices at customer sites in the TX/LA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/engineering or equivalent 4 years of experience in power generation industry.
• 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge on gas/steam turbine or generator maintenance.
• 3+ years of specialized/industry experience of gas/steam turbine generator & auxiliary system outage planning and execution.
• English proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers through all phases of event management lifecycles including planning, execution and closeout.
• Manage outage event preparation from start to finish (planned/eemergent/upgrade) including scheduling, costs, and coordination.
• Own onsite execution with large teams during outages, ensuring fulfilment goals are met.
• Develop and manage project quotations including work scope checks and risk analysis to minimize cost impact.
• Support operations during shut-down, start-up, running and performance testing of turbines and generators.
• Maintain proper execution documentation and ensure proper filing of Field Procedures and reports.
• Travel as required and adapt to cross-functional teams in a field environment.
