Job Description:

Job Profile Name: Housekeeper

General Description:

Provides cleaning, floor care, moving, grounds, and project services as directed by supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Performs all cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
  2. Performs related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.
  3. Maintains high standards; works steadily at an efficient pace; achieves high QA score.
  4. Interacts hospitably and supportively with staff, patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  5. Maintains equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition. Respects hospital and company property.
  6. Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, spills, and special needs.
  7. Accepts suggestions and direction from supervisors and hospital staff.
  8. Honors department’s attendance, break, behavior, dress, and safety codes.
  9. Participates in department and hospital education programs.
  10. Exercises good judgment around patients and visitors; remains professional; takes initiative in service and responding to needs.
  11. Assists other staff as necessary and responds to provided directions.
General Responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 0-3 years required; 1+ years of housekeeping or service work preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: None required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong command of English preferred.
  • Knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools.
