Position Title: OU Children's Housekeeper (Various Hours - Every weekend)
Department: Environmental Services
Job Description:

Job Profile Name: Housekeeper

General Description:

Provides cleaning, floor care, moving, grounds, and project services as directed by supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Performs all cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
  2. Performs related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.
  3. Maintains high standards; works steadily at an efficient pace; achieves high QA score.
  4. Interacts hospitably and supportively with staff, patients, visitors, and work colleagues.
  5. Maintains equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition. Respects hospital and company property.
  6. Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
  7. Accepts suggestions and directions from supervisors and hospital staff.
  8. Honors department’s attendance, break, behavior, dress, and safety codes.
  9. Participates in department and hospital education programs.
  10. Exercises good judgment around patients and visitors, remaining professional at all times, and takes initiative in service delivery.
  11. Assists other associates as necessary and responds to provided directions.
General Responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: 0-3 years required; 1 or more years of housekeeping or service worker experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong command of English preferred.
  • Knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools.
