TITLE OF POSITION:Otsego Middle School Science Teacher (2 positions)

STARTING DATE:2025-26 School Year

CLOSING DATE:Until filled

Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are looking to add two Science teachers to our middle school staff. Science teachers provide instruction and guidance to help students explore and understand important concepts in science, including problem-solving and how to gather evidence to support ideas or decisions.

Primary tasks (non-exhaustive list):

1. Plan lessons and prepare class materials and homework assignments to meet class objectives.
2. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and district-adopted Tier I curriculum consistent with parameters of the educational environment and the needs and limitations of the students involved.
3. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.

Requirements:

1. Michigan Teacher Certificate, with DX/DI (Science) Endorsement
2. Experience in the middle school setting preferred
