Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking an OTR Driver for 2nd shift (3pm - until). The role covers operating an 80,000 lb tractor-trailer between production and distribution facilities, performing safety inspections, and documenting logs.

High school diploma or GED, plus a DOT CDL class A license and 2 years of tractor-trailer experience are required. This position is based in Winston-Salem, NC, with responsibilities that include loading/unloading at docks, and adherence to DOT physical requirements.

OTR Driver Role Overview

To safely and efficiently drive a tractor‑trail between production and distribution facilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operates an 80,000 pound tractor and semi‑trailer carrying product to pre‑determined destinations.
• Conducts pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the vehicle will operate safely.
• Positions trailers at docks for loading and unloading product.
• Keeps and maintains a driver’s log book each day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DOT CDL class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license.
• Two Years tractor – trailer experience required.
• Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading.
• Able to pass a PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours.
• Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under guidelines set forth in Federal Motor Carriers Handbook.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment. (Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.)
• Average oral and written communication skills.
