Job summary

Boulevard Tire Center in Garden City, GA is seeking an experienced OTR Tire Technician with at least 1 year of hands-on tire maintenance for commercial truck service. The role includes on-call after-hours, nights and weekends, and may involve fleet service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as an OTR Tire Technician in general tire maintenance for commercial truck service.
• Must maintain a strong safety record and comply with safety policies.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license per insurance requirements.
• Ability to communicate well with customers, management and coworkers.
• Must be able to operate and maintain related equipment such as boom trucks, jacks and air tools.
• Must obtain and maintain training/safety certifications (MSHA) and security badges (TWIC).
• CDL Class B required and flexible to after-hours/weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform off-the-road tire removal, installation and repair for OTR tires up to large sizes.
• Conduct tire inspections, preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Work with fleet service and on-call scheduling as needed.

Job description

Boulevard Tire Center is looking for an experienced OTR Tire Technician for our Garden City, GA location. The position requires a minimum of 1 year experience as an OTR Technician with the knowledge skills and abilities in general tire maintenance including tire change and/or repair for commercial truck service. Will provide after-hours/on-call service to customers that may include fleet service. Must be available nights and weekends for rotating on call or fleet service

Candidates Must Have

• Experienced OTR Tire Technician that has demonstrated excellent Off the Road, farm and industrial tire removal, installation and repair skills and be physically capable of performing these duties. Experience must include tire sizes up to 00R49.
• Must have a strong safety record and a strong commitment to safety.
• Maintain a current driver's license that complies with our insurance and safety policies.
• Must be mature, responsible, reliable and be able to communicate well (written and verbal) with customers, management and co-workers.
• Must be able to operate and maintain a (STICK) boom truck and all associated equipment such as jacks, bead breakers, pullers, slings, air tools, and other related equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable training and safety certifications (MSHA) as well as required security badges (TWIC).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that could include after hour and weekend calls.
• CDL CLASS B required
