Job Description

This OTR driver position is responsible for transporting Tyson Foods' products in a safe, professional, and timely manner to our facilities, distribution centers, and customers across all 48 states. Position Details

This student driver position involves delivering Tyson products to customers with a certified driver trainer. It provides hands-on experience to become a solo driver with Tyson Foods. The role requires working days and nights.

Responsibilities

1. Driving and operating a tractor-trailer while monitoring the temperature of a refrigerated trailer.
2. Ensuring all shipping documentation (manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) is available for inspection and accompanies shipments upon delivery.
3. Maintaining records for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other required documentation.
4. Performing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, complying with all regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle, and representing the company professionally to customers and the public.

Job Requirements

• Must pass a DOT urine and hair follicle test.
• Valid Class A CDL in the resident state.
• Age 21 or older.
• Recent graduate of CDL school, military CDL, or less than nine months of verifiable OTR experience within the last 12 months.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Must pass a road test.
• Reside within the defined hiring area.
• Willing to park at designated areas.
• Points on Tyson Driver Evaluation System must be 12 or less.
• No DUI or DWI convictions in a commercial vehicle or in a personal vehicle within specified timeframes.
• Negative DOT drug and alcohol tests within the last 3 years.
• Meet Tyson's minimum qualification requirements on the PSP report.
