Job summary

Mahaska Bottling Company, Inc. is seeking an OTR Regional Midwest Truck Driver to deliver to our locations across the region, based in Oskaloosa, IA.

You will operate a tractor-trailer, maintain logs, and comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations. Must hold a Class A CDL and have at least 1 year of driving experience; you’ll work a flexible Mon-Fri schedule with potential longer days and occasional weekends, home daily.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with paperwork accuracy (Logs, BOLs, fuel reports).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass DOT drug test with no prior positive results or refusals.
• Pass DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer.
• Perform vehicle inspections per FMCSR 396.13.
• Maintain records in accordance with FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Work a flexible schedule Mon-Fri, and up to 10–14 hours in a day.
• Some weekend work as needed.
• Dedicates regional Midwest runs; home daily with limited overnights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mahaska Bottling has an immediate opening at our Oskaloosa Ia. location for an Over the Road Truck Driver to deliver freight to our existing locations, and customers.

Description of Essential Job Functions

• Safely operate tractor-trailer combination.
• Perform vehicle inspections required under sections 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations.
• Maintain a current Class A CDL.
• Operate and maintain records in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies as required.
• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule M-F, and as many as 10-14 hours in a day.
• Some weekend work depending on customer demands when needed.
• Dedicate regional Midwest runs. Home daily most nights with limited overnights when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

• Possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial driver’s license.
• Minimum of 1 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizations skills. Keeping track of paperwork accurately. (Log books, Bill of Ladings, Fuel reporting, etc.)
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
