Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is a leading LTL freight carrier operating since 1931. Line Haul Extraboard Drivers move freight between Estes Service Centers, often away from home for about 5 days, with company-paid uniforms, lodging and cell phone reimbursements.

You’ll operate various equipment and follow FMCSA rules while providing safe, professional service. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with FMCSA and local regulations, pre/post-trip inspections, and flexibility to work different schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 21 years of age per FMCSA
• Must have valid Class A CDL
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Must meet FMCSA English reading/speaking requirements
• Must be able to lift ~70 lbs and perform physical tasks
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must reside within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center or assignment

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions
• Safely operate tractor/trailer per FMCSA and company rules
• Maintain required records per local, state and federal regulations
• Comply with safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report maintenance issues promptly
• Use in-cab technology and electronic logs as required
• Drive different schedules and work the dock as needed
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers
• Attend as required and adhere to company policies

Education

High School Diploma or GED

21 years of age

Valid Class A CDL

FMCSA Clearinghouse

Ability to meet FMCSA English requirement
