Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a dedicated local delivery driver to safely operate tractor/trailer units in Coon Rapids, MN. You will transport product to grocery stores, complete logs, and communicate with dispatch throughout day and night.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, a strong safety record, and willingness to work holidays and weekends. Expect physical activity, loading/unloading, and long shifts with on-the-road responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• 100,000 accident-free miles or 2,500 accident-free hours.
• Willing to work holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lift 15–50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, up to five hours daily.
• Ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods, up to 11 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from destinations in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Load and unload trailers, including palletized loading/unloading and overhead lifting.
• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores and distribution centers.
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and invoices.
• Use an electronic logging device and perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night.

• End Time: 8:00 AM

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older


• Possess a valid Class \"A\" commercial driver’s license


• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations


• Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead


• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers


• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests


• Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections


• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night
